Configuring WS_FTP Pro 

  1. Open WS_FTP Pro, click on the “Connect” button at the bottom.

 

  1. Click on the “File” menu and select “New Site.”

 

  1. Fill in the following information then click FINISH:

·         Create a Site named:  LocalNet Homepage (or whatever name you would like to use to refer to your website)

·         Host Name or IP Address:  members.localnet.com for Personal Sites

www.mydomain.com for Commercial Sites

 

 

  1. In the “UserID:” and “Password:” fields type in your LocalNet Username and Password.  Check the option “Save Password” then click CONNECT.

·         Personal Member’s Website – Use your LocalNet Dialup Access Username and  Password

·         Commercial Website – Use your LocalNet Web Only Username and Password

 

  1. To upload a file, select the directory and filename on the left hand side pane and then click the arrow pointing to the right located in the middle.  This will upload the file and it should then appear in the pane on the right hand side.

·         Personal Member’s Website:  All files must be uploaded into the “public_html” folder.

·         Commercial Website:  All files must be uploaded into the “www.mydomain.com” folder.

·         The homepage for any website must be named index.html or index.htm
