Configuring WS_FTP LE  

  1. In WS_FTP, click the “Connect” button at the bottom.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Click on the “New” button and then fill in the blank files with the following information:

·         Profile Name:  Type the name you would like to use to identify your site (i.e. LocalNet Homepage, www.mysite.com, etc.)

·         Host Name/Address:

à members.localnet.com for Personal Member Websites

à www.mydomain.com  for Commercial Websites

·         Host Type:  Automatic detect

·         User ID:

à Your LocalNet Dialup Account Username for Personal Member Websites

à Your LocalNet Web Only Username for Commercial Websites

·         Password:  Your LocalNet Password

·         Leave the “Account” and “Comment” fields blank.

Click OK

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

  1. To upload a file, select the directory and filename on the left hand side pane and then click the arrow pointing to the right located in the middle.  This will upload the file and it should then appear in the pane on the right hand side.

·         Personal Member’s Website:  All files must be uploaded into the “public_html” folder.

·         Commercial Website:  All files must be uploaded into the “www.mydomain.com” folder.

·         The homepage for any website must be named index.html or index.htm
