Using Internet Explorer As A FTP Client
- Open Internet Explorer and in the address bar type
ftp://username@members.localnet.com if it’s a Personal Member’s
site. If it’s a Commercial site, type in ftp://username@www.mydomain.com.
Press Enter on your keyboard or click go.
- You will now be prompted for your password. Type in
your password, check the “save password” option and then click “OK.”
- You should now see the screen below. Double click on
the public_html folder to open it (if it’s a Commercial site, the folder
will be called www.mydomain.com).
- Once you have opened the home directory you will see
any files that have already been uploaded. If you wish to upload a new
file, simply drag it, or copy and paste it, from it’s location on your
computer into the Internet Explorer window.
