Using Internet Explorer As A FTP Client

  1. Open Internet Explorer and in the address bar type ftp://username@members.localnet.com if it’s a Personal Member’s site.  If it’s a Commercial site, type in ftp://username@www.mydomain.com.  Press Enter on your keyboard or click go.

  1. You will now be prompted for your password.  Type in your password, check the “save password” option and then click “OK.”

  1. You should now see the screen below.  Double click on the public_html folder to open it (if it’s a Commercial site, the folder will be called www.mydomain.com).

  1. Once you have opened the home directory you will see any files that have already been uploaded.  If you wish to upload a new file, simply drag it, or copy and paste it,  from it’s location on your computer into the Internet Explorer window.
