  1. Open CuteFTP, Click on the “File” menu and select “Connection Wizard”

 

  1. For the “Choose your ISP” option, select “Other.”  Click NEXT

  

  1. In the blank box type the name you would like to use to identify the site (i.e. LocalNet Homepage, www.mysite.com, etc.).  Click NEXT

  

  1. Type in the FTP host address for your site.  Click NEXT

·         Personal Member’s Website:  members.localnet.com

·         Commercial Website:  www.yourdomain.com

 

  1. Type in your LocalNet username and password.  Click Next

·         Personal Member’s Website: Use Your LocalNet Dialup Access Username & Password

·         Commercial Website:  Use Your LocalNet Web Only Username & Password 

  1. This is optional.  If you have a directory on your Hard Drive where all the files for your website are located, then you can type in that directory here or you can just leave the box blank.  Click NEXT.

 

  1. Nothing should be checked.  Click FINISH.

 

  1. To connect to the FTP server, click the “Connect” button.
     

 
  1. To upload a file, select the directory and filename on the left hand side pane and then click the arrow pointing up that appears on the toolbar at the top.  This will upload the file and it should then appear in the pane on the right hand side.

·         Personal Member’s Website:  All files must be uploaded into the “public_html” folder.

·         Commercial Website:  All files must be uploaded into the “www.mydomain.com” folder.

·         The homepage for any website must be named index.html or index.htm
